Trivium BI is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your information. This Privacy Policy applies to anyone who interacts with Trivium BI through our offices, websites, products, and services (collectively, our “Services), except as excluded below.

By accessing or using our Services, you consent to the use of information that is collected, submitted, used or disclosed as described in this Privacy Policy and to the updates to these policies posted here from time to time.

Privacy Policy Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information of users of our Services except as described below.

Information collected, used, or disclosed in Trivium BI's capacity as a service provider to its clients is governed by relevant contracts or service agreements. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control (such as third-party websites that you may access from our website(s) and/or our application(s) (collectively, “Website”), or to individuals that Trivium BI does not employ or manage.  We have no control over or responsibility regarding the information collected from you by others, such as third-party websites that you access through links on our Website. Instead, such information practices are governed by those entities’ privacy policies. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party websites for information on how those entities collect and use your information.

Types of Personal Information We Collect

Personal information means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could be reasonably associated or linked with a particular person or household. It also includes other information that may be associated with you, such as your usage data, location, preferences, or interests, if that information can be used to identify you, your household, or your device, or any other information as otherwise defined under applicable law. The types of personal information we collect about you depend on your interactions with us and are described in more detail below.

Trivium BI collects the following types of information from you and other users who use our Website or Services:

  • Individual Identifiers: includes your name, username, and contact information such as mailing address, phone number, and email address.

  • Usage and Technical Information: includes features that gather information about how users use our Website or Services. This assists us with keeping track of preferences, creating a more tailored user experience, and better serving users’ particular interests and needs. This information may include: IP addresses, Website pages viewed and the duration, browser or operating system information, mobile device type, system settings, and aggregate and/or deidentified data related to a person’s interaction with our Website.

  • We may collect personal data about you (namely, your position, specialty and publications) from publicly-available resources such as company, university, and publications websites, and combine it with personal data we have collected about you, to complete our customer profile of you in support of our sales and marketing activities.

How We Disclose Your Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties to help provide our Services to you. For instance, we may disclose your information with our service providers to respond to your requests or to provide customer service. We may also provide your personal information to third parties who assist us in providing certain services. For example, we may provide the information we collect from you to our cloud hosting service providers, or our payment card processing providers.   • Service Providers: Trivium BI may engage fulfillment companies, service providers, individuals, and agents to facilitate and help us provide our Services. Such service providers perform tasks, services, or functions on our behalf, or assist us in analyzing how our Services are used or delivered. Trivium BI reserves the right to provide personal information to such companies to the extent it may be necessary for them to provide services to or on behalf of Trivium BI. Any such companies must agree to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information we may provide to them and are contractually obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Such companies may also collect personal information directly from you in connection with providing their services, and they will have the right to provide that personal information to us. Such other companies may not use your private or personal information for purposes other than providing services through or on behalf of Trivium BI.

  • Law Enforcement or Other Lawful Authority: We may from time to time be required to provide information to law enforcement or other governmental authorities pursuant to a warrant, court order, or other lawful process.

Securing Your Information

Trivium BI takes the privacy and security of your information seriously, and uses reasonable, appropriate and customary procedures and technologies to help protect the confidentiality of any personal information we collect.  Trivium BI employs reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect, process, and store. However, no website, network, or system can be absolutely protected against intentional or malicious intrusion attempts despite taking appropriate and reasonable precautions. Furthermore, Trivium BI does not control the devices, computer or network through which you access the Website or over which you may choose to send personal information or other information to us, and therefore cannot prevent potential interceptions or compromises to your information while in transit. Trivium BI makes no guarantee as to the security, integrity or confidentiality of any information transmitted to or from us. Trivium BI is committed to safeguarding your information to the best of its ability but cannot guarantee the security of electronic communications or transmission made over the Internet.

Retention and Deletion of Personal Information

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our Services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected. Under applicable regulations, we will keep records containing client personal information, account opening documents, communications and anything else as required by applicable laws and regulations. We will not retain your personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which the information was collected.

We may rectify or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.


The Website uses cookies – small data files stored by your web browser on your device’s hard drive – to track which areas of our Website are used the most and to help us make our Website more informative and user-friendly, and other purposes as described in this Policy.

Trivium BI may receive, store and use the information you enter on our Website or which is collected during your visit to our Services. All of our Services, including our Website, are intended for adult audiences, and are not directed to or meant for individuals under the age of 16 (“Children”). As such, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16, and Children under 16 may not use our Services.  If you are under 16, do not attempt to register for or use any of our Services and do not provide us any personal information about yourself.

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has violated this Privacy Policy and provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from Children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Trivium BI has in place policies and procedures to facilitate the exercise of privacy rights available to California residents. If you are a California resident, California law requires us to disclose the following information with respect to our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

  • Right to Disclosure of Direct Marketers: You have the right to have access upon simple request, and free of charge, the categories and names/addresses of third parties that have received personal information for their direct marketing purposes.

  • Right to Information About Collecting, Selling, Sharing, or Disclosing Personal Information:  Upon receipt of a verifiable request, you may obtain a list of:

    • The specific pieces of your personal information Trivium BI holds;

    • The categories of personal information collected about you, sold to or shared with third parties, or disclosed to third parties for business purposes;

    • The categories of personal information sold or shared within the last 12 months;

    • The categories of sources from which personal information is collected;

    • The business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information; and

    • The categories of third parties with whom personal information is shared, sold, or disclosed for a business purpose.

  • Right to Opt-Out of the Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: California residents have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of their personal information under certain circumstances. As noted elsewhere, we do not “sell” or “share” your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).

  • Right to Deletion:  You have the right to obtain the deletion of your personal information in the situations set forth by applicable data protection law and upon receipt of a verifiable request.

  • Right to Limit: You have the right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information. Our uses of sensitive personal information are described in the Sensitive Personal Information section above.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination.  As defined under relevant law, you have a right to non-discrimination in the Services or quality of Services you receive from us for exercising your rights.

Please contact us utilizing the methods listed in the “Contact” page in relation to exercising these rights. We may ask you to provide information about yourself so that we can verify your identity as part of this process. This information may include your name, email address, and any other information necessary to reasonably verify your identity, to ensure that your information is not shared with anyone impersonating you. We may ask for additional information if we have difficulty confirming your identity. Once we have verified your identity, we will work to fulfill your request in a timely manner. Please note there may be some situations in which we are unable to fulfill your request, such as if we cannot find any information about you within our systems. Additionally, we may not be able to honor a deletion request in some situations, such as if your information is necessary to fulfill the Services you requested or meet a legal obligation. We will inform you whether we can fulfill your rights request. We will not share information or otherwise honor requests unless we can confirm the request is a “verifiable request”.

  • Consent Withdrawal. You may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us regarding the processing of your personal data at any time and free of charge. We will apply your preferences going forward. This will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before you withdrew your consent.

  • Right Not to Be Subject to Automated Individual Decision-Making. You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (including profiling) that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

If you make a request, we will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. Note that applicable laws contain certain exceptions and limitations to each of these rights. We may reject your request, as permitted by applicable law.

Please also note that, in many circumstances, Trivium BI is a “data processor” under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) and its customers are the “data controllers.” Therefore, Trivium BI customers, and not Trivium BI, determine how and why personal data submitted to the Trivium BI Service is used, either by or at the direction of such customers.

As data controllers, Trivium BI's customers are responsible for disclosing and responding to the rights of individuals with respect to their personal data and other information regarding the collection and use of that personal data in accordance with the GDPR. If we are a data processor and receive your request, we will forward your request to the appropriate data controller.

Changes to this Online Privacy Statement

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will alert you when changes have been made by indicating the date the policy was last updated as the date the privacy policy became effective. It is recommended that you periodically revisit this page to learn of any changes.
